Paul Burani, President, Clicksharp Marketing
Paul Burani began his career in market research, managing accounts in the food & beverage industry (Kraft, Nestle). After participating in the Copenhagen Business School’s Innovation and Business Development program in 2004, he began his consulting career with a focus on digital media. In 2006, a successful YouTube campaign vaulted his Chicago Bears fan site to NBC, AOL, the Wall Street Journal, and the front page of Yahoo! His work in search engine marketing and social media strategy spans a variety of industries including consumer products, apparel, hospitality and health care, with clients such as LG Electronics, Paypal and VF Sportswear.
As president of Clicksharp Marketing, he actively conducts workshops on digital media around New York, and his articles on search engine marketing have been published by the Direct Marketing Association, the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Week magazine.
Michelle Riggen-Ransom, Communications Director, BatchBlue Software
Michelle Riggen-Ransom is the co-founder and Communications Director for BatchBlue Software, which makes online tools for small businesses. Prior to joining BatchBlue, her work as a consultant for web communications helped clients connect to their employees and customers using innovative technologies such as virtual user groups, intranets, and rich media.
She’s also a writer who focuses on social media, technology, nature, parenting and increasingly, the intersection of those topics. Michelle currently lives in Providence, Rhode Island with her husband and their two budding naturalist/techies.
